History of Newhouse Printing

Workers at Newhouse Printing

Newhouse Printing is one of Tuscarawas County's oldest, continuously operated businesses. Newhouse was founded in 1900 as Seibert Printing Co. and at one time was located on Cherry Alley behind the Dover Post Office. This firm was operated for many years by Edward F. Seibert and his son, Alton E., both now deceased.

The company was owned and operated for a time as R.W. Printing Co. by Richard Whitemyer and his son, Rick.

It has operated as Newhouse since March of 1984 when the company was purchased by Robert Henning Sr. of New Philadelphia, Ohio.

In 1996, Davis Printing of Barberton, Ohio, purchased the company from Henning, seeing that Newhouse was a sound company with excellent employees with a progressive spirit, attitude and knowledge.

In January of 2006, John Carpenter acquired Newhouse Printing, which he had managed for the previous 11 years. Despite the changes in ownership, the gameplan remains the same, to build their customer base by providing top quality products in a highly competitive printing industry.
